Day 1: Colombo to Galle – Coastal Serenity

Upon arrival at Colombo airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative, who will assist with your transfer to Galle by a scenic coastal drive. Once in Galle, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Relax, unwind, and soak in the tranquility of this historic coastal city.

Day 2: Galle to Kataragama – Tracing Mythology

After breakfast, begin your exploration with a visit to Rumassala, a hill believed to be a fragment of the Himalayan Mountains carried by Hanuman to save Lakshman during the Ramayana war. Enjoy panoramic views of the southern coast.

Next, visit Ussangoda, a site with distinct reddish soil linked to the Ramayana. This area is believed to have served as King Ravana’s airport.

In the evening, visit the Kataragama Temple, a sacred site for Hindus, Buddhists, and Muslims. The temple is dedicated to God Kataragama (Murugan/Kartikeya) and is linked to the Ramayana as a site where Lord Indra ordered God Skandha to protect Lord Rama during his battle against Ravana.

Day 3: Kataragama to Nuwara Eliya – Legends and Nature

Post breakfast, drive to Nuwara Eliya. En route, stop at Ravana Falls, a breathtaking waterfall tied to the legend of Ravana hiding Princess Sita in a cave behind it. Visit the nearby Ravana Cave, an intriguing site that holds both mythological and historical significance.

Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, visit the Seetha Amman Temple, a unique temple dedicated to Sita, believed to be built at the site where she was held captive by Ravana. The temple also features footprints said to belong to Hanuman.

Day 4: Nuwara Eliya – Mythological Exploration

After breakfast, visit the Gayathri Peedam, a sacred temple where King Ravana’s son Meghanath is believed to have worshipped Lord Shiva to gain supernatural powers.

Continue to the Diurumpola Temple, where Sita is believed to have undergone her “Agni Pariksha” (trial by fire) to prove her purity.

Visit Seetha Eliya and the famed Ashok Vatika, a beautiful garden where Sita meditated during her captivity. In the evening, enjoy a city tour of Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as "Little England" for its colonial charm.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya to Kandy – Hanuman's Trail

Begin your day with a visit to Mani Kattuther, a rock within tea plantations where Hanuman is said to have rested during his quest to find Sita.

Next, visit the Bhakta Hanuman Temple, featuring a five-meter granite statue of Hanuman, built to commemorate his devotion to Rama.

Proceed to Kandy, and in the evening, enjoy a city tour including a visit to the iconic Temple of the Tooth Relic, a revered Buddhist site.

Day 6: Kandy to Sigiriya – Ravana’s Fortress

Post breakfast, drive to Sigiriya and check in to your hotel. In the afternoon, explore the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, believed to have connections to the Ramayana. The summit was said to house Ravana’s grand palace, built from solid gold 5,000 years ago.

Day 7: Sigiriya – Battlefields and Ancient Healing

After breakfast, visit Dunivila, where Lord Rama is believed to have launched the Brahmasthram weapon at Ravana.

Proceed to Laggala, a former watchtower for Ravana’s army, said to have been flattened by the Brahmasthram. End your day with a visit to Ritigala, a mysterious mountain believed to have medicinal plants from the Himalayas. It is said to be a fragment of Mount Dronagiri, carried by Hanuman in his quest to save Lakshman.

Day 8: Sigiriya to Trincomalee – Spiritual Serenity

Drive to Trincomalee and visit the Koneswaram Temple, one of the Pancha Ishwarams dedicated to Lord Shiva. Built by Rishi Agastya on Lord Shiva’s instructions, it is a testament to the devotion of King Ravana.

Day 9: Trincomalee – Waikkal by Drive
